Tipping fees are charges collected by the City of Greater Sudbury at landfill sites. They’re billed by the metric tonne and apply to all waste disposed of through bin rentals. When we haul your bin, it’s weighed at the landfill scale, and the city charges the fee directly.

On average, customers place 1 to 1.7 tonnes of waste in a rental bin. That usually works out to $106–$180 in tipping fees (depending on weight). Since these are charged directly by the City of Sudbury, you pay exactly what the scale records!

We cannot accept:

• Hazardous waste (toxic, flammable, corrosive, or liquid materials)

• Vehicle batteries, propane tanks, or asbestos

• Food/kitchen garbage or medical/biohazardous waste
